On December 6, 1964, Klansmen set fire to Frank Morris’ shoe shop in Ferriday, Louisiana. Morris, who lived in the back of the shop, died four days later from his injuries. No one has been convicted of this crime.

On December 10, 2008, the FBI offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for morris’ death. It is believed that Morris was killed by Klansmen belonging to the Silver Dollar Group, a secretive Klan cell, also associated with the Wharlest Jackson murder, as well as many other crimes.
